Rachael Trihey

Rachael Trihey is an executive search leader, board advisor, and social impact advocate with more than two decades of experience shaping leadership and workforce outcomes across education, health, government, financial services, and community sectors. As Co-Founder and Co-CEO of YOUmanity, she partners with boards and executive teams to appoint values-aligned leaders and build high-performing, purpose-driven organisations.
With a foundation in accounting and commercial operations, Rachael brings strong business acumen, strategic insight, and a human-centred approach to executive recruitment and organisational transformation. She has led hundreds of senior executive and board appointments and is recognised for her sound judgement, ethical integrity, and ability to match leadership capability with culture.
A long-standing commitment to child safety and social justice underpins Rachael’s work. She has co-founded two charities focused on safeguarding vulnerable people and previously co-founded an award-winning safety technology start-up, recognised through the Optus Future Maker Award and the Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Business Awards.
Known as a natural connector, Rachael has an extensive network across corporate, government, and community sectors and contributes to national conversations on ethical leadership and inclusion. She holds non-executive board roles with the Create Foundation, and the Samford Valley Steiner School, alongside her ongoing advocacy for the protection and development of children and young people.
Outside her professional work, Rachael and her husband are dedicated foster carers, and she finds grounding on her small working farm, a daily reminder of community, purpose, and what matters most.
